Stone instrument

We created "xylohone-like" instruments out of rocks from the beach. Those rocks, we found the nodes, were able to identify them, and balanced them there, making the sound from the stone more voluminous as it is balanced from two points where nothing moves.
For our Stone Instrument, we were first grouped into a group of 4 people for our entire project. In that group, we were able to discuss what we were going to do and how the whole project was going to look like. During the process of our Stone Instrument, we were given a rock which was what we were going to use for the whole activity. We would then grab two pieces of chalk of a single color and would grind it until it was just powder. The powder was then placed on the rock so when we finally started hitting the rock, the chalk would move until it ended up on the NODES. The nodes are a place in an object where the object is completely still. You can find a node on anything, a pipe, rock, tube or wave! Finding the nodes was a little hard since the first time we found them, they were too close to each other. On the second time, they were the perfect amount separated from each other.
